USBにインストールし使っていますが、WindowsXPとファイルを共有したい為、2GのUSB-sda1,sda2,sda3にインストールしたいんです。
WinXPはUSBの最初のパーティションしか認識してくれません。
sda1をWinXPと共有、ｓda2にPuppy本体、sda3にPuppyデータ、と考えています。（1GFAT16+200MFAT16+800Mext2）。
CDでPuppyを起動し、作業しています。
syslinux /dev/sda2を実行し、再起動。
USBから起動はするものの、Missing Operation System がずっと流れ続けます。
私の知恵ではどうしようも壁に突き当たってしまって、ネットを検索しても皆目わかりりません。
こんな私に何かアドバイスを頂けましたら幸いです。m(_ _)m

補足です。
現在USBで使用中のもの、インストールをした手順は、PuppyCDでUSBをsda1とsda2に切ってfat16でフォーマットし、WindowXP上で、CDの中身をsda1へコピーし、isolinux.cfgをsyslinux.ｃfgにリネームし、syslinux.cfg内のpmedia=cdをpmedia=usbflashに書き換え、ダウンロードしたsyslinuxのWin版でsyslinux -ma e:としています。
今回はPuppyCD起動上で、既存のpuppy本体部分を、新sda2へコピーし、syslinuxのUNIX版とmtools内のものとでsyslinux /dev/sda2とやってみましたが、いずれも元書き込みのエラーと同じでした。

解決しましたあ！＼(^o^)／
１．sda2にbootフラグをつけた（これが一番の問題？）
２．syslinux -s /dev/sda2
同梱syslinux.doc より

syslinux [-sf][-d directory][-o offset] /dev/fd0
(or, again, whichever device is the correct one.)
This will alter the boot sector on the disk and copy a file named
LDLINUX.SYS into its root directory (or a subdirectory, if the -d
option is specified.)
The -s option, if given, will install a "safe, slow and stupid"
version of SYSLINUX. This version may work on some very buggy BIOSes
on which SYSLINUX would otherwise fail. If you find a machine on
which the -s option is required to make it boot reliably, please send
as much info about your machine as you can, and include the failure
mode.
The -o option is used with a disk image file and specifies the byte
offset of the filesystem image in the file.
